(Special ABA President's Message)

Dear Colleagues/Dhamma Friends:

Season's greetings and all the best to you (May all the mangalas (blessings) be bestowed upon you!).

I'm overjoyed to let you know that our Adit-Htan Buddhist Association is NOW a 501(c) 3 tax-exempt non-profit organization under section 170 of the United States Internal Revenue Service code. All contributions and donations we received as of August 15, 2008 are tax deductible on the part of the donors including bequests, devises, transfers and gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

As President of the Adit-Htan Buddhist Association, I would like to personally -- very fervently -- thank the Board of Directors, well-wishers, donors and members of the Adit-Htan family for their good merits, cetana, dedication, good-will and for all that we have achieved so far and all that we can aspire to achieve in terms of our short-term and long term projects for the Adit-Htan sasana represented by the Adit-Htan Buddhist Association (ABA).

After a five-month Dhammaduta tour in the United States from May 1, 2010, Mahazeyyasiddhi Adit-htan Sayadaw Bhaddanta U Kularakhita will leave for Singapor on October 3, 2010.

You are cordially invited to a Paying Respect to the Teachers and Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM at 33 Belhaven Court, Daly City, CA 94014.

This ceremony is to be held in commenmoration of and as a forerunner to the forthcoming annual Ordination and Kathina ceremonies involving (108) monks and (108) nuns for a temporary tenure in the Buddhist Order in Sittwe, Yakhine State, Myanmar.

All Dhamma friends can offer a set of robes for $30.00 (Thirty Dollars) each on October 2, 2010 at the ceremonies in Daly City. A lucky draw winner will first offer the symbolic principal set of robes to the Adit-htan Sayadaw.

The families of U Kyaw Sein and Daw Khin Mar Myint and of U Khin Maung Lwin and Daw Khin Win Hla will provide a vegetarian lunch to the Dhamma friends.

Announcements

O An Adit-htan retreat has begun on August 21, 2010 with a commitment of 45-consecutive days of meditation taught by Ven. Adit-htan Sayadaw. Anyone and everyone is warmly welcome to join in this retreat practice at 573 San Diego Ave., Daly City, CA.

O Ven. Sayadaw will be in Nebraska in the week of September 1st, 2010.

O The offering of Ka-htaine Robes for the Celebration (in advance) of Ka-Htane-Pwe will be taken place in Daly City on October 2nd, 2010. Details will be posted on the website soon.

O Ven. Adit-htan Sayadaw Payagyi will be leaving San Francisco for Singapore on October 3rd, 2010.
